att_tmobile_logosT-Mobile has announced a third "Un-carrier Unwrapped" holiday promotion that offers AT&T customers a 128GB iPhone 6s for the same price as a 16GB model, which is a $200 savings.

The offer is valid for AT&T, GoPhone and Cricket postpaid and prepaid customers that switch a phone number to a T-Mobile Simple Choice postpaid plan between December 4 and December 13.

AT&T customers can combine the offer with T-Mobile's Carrier Freedom promotion, which provides up to $650 towards a balance owing or to pay off early termination fees (ETFs) with an eligible device trade-in.

T-Mobile is also offering AT&T customers that switch up to half off its lineup of financed in-store accessories:

That could mean as much as a $125 discount on the hottest mobile gifts, like the latest smartwatches, UE Boom and JBL Bluetooth speakers, top-of-the-line headphones, Fitbit fitness trackers, Guitar Hero Live for iOS and more.

This limited time offer is part of T-Mobile's monthlong "Un-carrier Unwrapped" holiday promotion that began with three months of free unlimited LTE data for all Simple Choice postpaid customers and a $200 bill credit for Sprint customers.

T-Mobile plans to unveil additional "gifts" over the next few weeks, with a new gift coming at least once per week. T-Mobile CEO John Legere recently confirmed on Twitter that Verizon customers will receive their "Un-carrier Unwrapped" gift soon.

T-Mobile also recently announced that Music Freedom now supports 11 new services: Aud.io, Dash Radio, DatPiff, Jango, KCRW, Noon Pacific, Radio Danz, SomaFM, Spinrilla, StreamOn and TuneIn Premium.

This isn't a gift. This is a loss leader. Give something away now at a reduced price to make up for it in the long run.

Deep down I knew TMO wasn't going to give any "gifts" that didn't require switching.
Why would they give actual gifts to someone that's not going to be their customer??

What makes you so deserving of a gift from T-mobile? Can't believe I have to spell it out this way, but you being born does not simply entitle you to a gift, albeit from a company you're not even a customer thereof.

Man, are people falling for this? They're just trying to hook you in for your monthly bill.
Because no other carrier takes monthly bills?

I've test TMobile's service in the past and it's been consistently superior and more reliable than ATT. Only place it didn't work was Orlando. Very tempting. I hate ATT's service, but I like their customer service and at least they get my bill right. I'm tempted to do this, but I fear change.

well, i would have preferred the sprint gift...just give me more money. i am fine with a 32gb phone
Agreed. Or let me choose how to apply that $200 savings. Maybe I'd rather get a 64GB 6S+ for the price of a 16GB 6S? Maybe I'd rather split the difference by getting $100 off a 64GB 6S and a $100 bill credit?

EDIT: Actually, seems it is just a bill credit. "Promotions applied as bill credits; must be active and in good standing when credits are applied. iPhone Upgrade via $200 bill credit; may take up to 90 days."

T-Mobile's network is NOT on par with AT&T and Verizon. Not even close. If you really believe it is, I have a bridge for sale you may be interested in. There's a good reason why they have to resort to gimmicks to get customers. If they could provide the same quality of service as the big two, no gimmicks would be necessary.
I said "somewhat on par" and as such I have left some wiggle room on whether it's actually on par. Ok so what do you call 304 Million POP covered with LTE?? That's 2 Million off of AT&T. Are you part of those 2 Million people? In that case, yes you're right... Please sell me that bridge.

Yes there's still problems with indoor receptions here and there and coverage in national parks and uninhabitiated areas is minimal or weak. I do conceed that. To me that's a minor nuisance to deal with and I'm sure they'll fix it one day when they get more spectrum.

What is a gimmick?? Wifi calling? Unlimited music streaming? Unlimited standard definition video streaming? Free International coverage? Customer friendly prices? The fastest data speeds in major cities? If you call those gimmicks, then you should probably consider jumping off that bridge you own. I call these what most other people call them "good service". This is the problem with typical consumerism in America. We're conditioned to think that a cheaper is always an inferior product and there's a catch to everything. While this may be true in a lot if not most cases, this is not true in this situation. If you enjoy subsidizing Verizon and AT&T's ridiculous profit margins, by all means keep doing that.

For 80-90% of America that live in major cities, have wifi at home (and work) and not have to travel to Wichita, Kansas; T-mobile would be a very solid choice.

I live in the Seattle metro area and I have been a T-mobile customer for 4 months. I have not had one dropped call yet. The only place I barely have reception is my garage at home but my home wifi makes up for that. I travel to see family in Los Angeles and Boston and T-mobile coverage was excellent.

So I do stand my ground when I say "somewhat on par".
