I’m confused. They have been 199.95 on Apples site the last couple times I’ve looked, it’s been a couple months. I just thought that was then new price but I’ve seen MacRumors post this $199.95 “Sale” a couple times lately.
Apple's price has been going up and down on these. I thought they were permanently dropped and then a week later the price went up again.

I just can't get over the big huge non wireless charging case. The fact that they have no real off switch is also a turnoff as If you have them in your pocket instead of the case, they can come out of standby when you move around causing battery drain. Thought about getting a pair for running season but all 5k's and 10k's are COVID delayed/cancelled.

Thought about getting a pair for running season but all 5k's and 10k's are COVID delayed/cancelled.
I’m on my second pair. The first never reliably seated and would be dead when I took them out of the case to use. The second pair is better. I think the PowerBeats 4 are probably a better buy. They have the same chipset, waterproof rating, and sound.

I've bought refurb from Best Buy - sales like this the refurbs go down in price even more.

I like them but wouldn't say worth $200.

Yes, I found these things to be an issue too. The case is huge so I can't carry it my shirt pocket. If I take them off and put them in my shirt pocket without the case they often do come out of standby and start playing. So when I take them off I put them in the case and put the case in the backpack. Not ideal. Another thing that gets me is that if you don't seat one of them properly in the case it won't charge and will just drain to zero. Happened to me many times. There is no visual indicator so it's impossible to say if it's happening or not. Now I wiggle them every time I put them in the case. This mostly works but not always. All in all I liked my BeatsX much better in pretty much all respects. They were great till they suddenly completley died (I assume some wire got broken).
