iOS 14 Updates Siri With Subtle Design That Doesn't Take Up Entire Screen

Apple today announced iOS 14 at WWDC, and during the keynote it focused on new updates coming to its smart assistant Siri. The major new feature of ‌Siri‌ is a subtle design so that it doesn't take over the entire iOS screen when asking ‌Siri‌ a question.

Am I correct that with this change, I can’t see exactly what Siri thinks I’m saying? At least in my non-English language Siri is quite poor, so I prefer the visual confirmation when I use Siri.

This isn’t so much as feature as a return to the superior design that Siri started with, which was that it slid up from the bottom of the screen and kept 90% of the screen legible so you could reference information there. Lord knows why they ditched it, but it was right around the time they fired Scott.

I think they only announced it for iPadOS? Or did I totally I miss it announced for iOS?

When they spoke about spatial awareness for the AirPods, she showed a call screen that was the normal old one so I’m betting it’s only for the iPad...
They said it's coming to iOS.
