The Studio Display features a 27-inch 5K retina display with a 5120 x 2880 resolution and up to 600 nits of brightness. Discounts on the Studio Display have been very rare over the past few months, and this is the first time in 2024 that we've tracked a record low price on any version of the monitor.

If you want to upgrade to the nano-texture glass option, Best Buy also has this model of the Studio Display on sale. It's available for $1,599.99, down from $1,899.99, which is a second-best price on the Studio Display with nano-texture glass.

Apple says that the standard display is engineered for "extremely low reflectivity," but for rooms where there is a lot of glare, Apple suggests the nano-texture glass option with even less reflectivity.

If only they would make it 32”
Ditch the speakers, glass and hub and knock off a few hundred bucks I’d be interested

I just want a no frills 32” 5k display with a decent panel at a reasonable price

Making due with 32” 4k until I find such

Pretty bad deal still. I got a 1400nit, 4K 160Hz, miniLED monitor for $700 on Amazon. Actually better spec than the Pro Display XDR for a fraction of the cost.

4k != 5k. That monitor has about 56% the number of pixels of the 5k monitor for 54% of the cost. Looks like it's about the same price as Apple's monitor once you factor in the resolution/number of pixels. If 4k is acceptable, then there are many options including that monitor. If you need or want a 5k and have the money for one, you aren't going to buy a 4k monitor.

So what you're saying is you don't want a Studio Display.

Inferior ppi ruins it for me. 4K at 27" just isn't the same. Once you are used to the higher ppi it is really hard to go back. Either everything is too big and you lose real estate at true 2x or you have to have to do odd scaling in which text is inferior. Of course it is really dependent on what you do.
