If Apple wants us to subscribe, they better get the Premier League, Primera Division, Bundesliga, Seria A and Ligue 1 for starters. They have the money. They can obliterate traditional pay tv...

Put some 360 degree cameras in prime spots to simulate how it looks actually being there in person and this seems prime media to drive more Vpro adoption… something superior to watching on a 2D window (television) and much less expensive than all of the costs involved in actually being there in person.

TV would still be the choice for group gatherings. Live would still be the ultimate experience. This would be an OPTION between those two.

Roll the same out for NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, etc… along with Broadway shows, live concerts, Olympics, and any other “wish I could be there but…” events. I’ve seen court-side seats for NBA for > $40K and the cheapest (worst) seats at the Super Bowl started at $9K. This could put any number of virtual bodies in the very same seat- a volume play selling the same VR seat(s) to many.

I fully believe this will come because there’s new money in it for all involved but wish the process of implementation was accelerated.

Normally Messi gets paid for the passes he makes. Now he's offering free passes?

I'll pass though.

(Edit: Initially, the title was missing the word "promotion".)

That headline doesn't make any sense. Is it Apple or is it Messi that's offering the free month
seriously. I imagine Messi slaving away at a desk, furiously approving of each and every request to redeem the offer
