Paradoxically, these vent mount chargers work better in the summer because you have AC cooling the phone off. In the winter, you have to shut that individual vent off to keep from overheating the phone.

We just purchased a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse LT that has both wireless CarPlay and wireless charging. As these features become standardized there will be less of a a market for something like this product, mainly for owners of older vehicles.
The average age of cars on the road today is 12 years so there are quite a few cars out there that don’t have built in wireless chargers

Everything is made from the same country anyways. Same tech different skin.
The difference is that if there's a problem, I can probably get ahold of someone at Satechi. Not so with the Chinese companies that reincorporate with a different name every six months to avoid customer claims.

heat is supposed to come out of the floor vents if you leave it on auto/follow the suggestions from the owners manual.

Is that Qi2?
For an iPhone that has MagSafe it’s not relevant…. Proper MagSafe charging is 15w and he just said that’s what that charger is. Qi2 is just bringing standardized 15w charging with magnetic ring alignment to non-iPhone users.

So, if you are an iPhone user, as long as your wireless charger provides true 15w whether it’s qi2 or not isn’t relevant to you.
