What is the benefit for Apple if Apple does not know what is paid and no data is available? Why did they introduce this and keeping it alive? I mean Apple Pay in general.
It seems it is less about data or profit and more about user retention and market positioning. The world is increasingly moving towards digital payments, so sitting this one out would be a loss for Apple.
