iOS 27 Hints at New Dual-Battery iPhone
The latest iOS 27 beta hints at a future iPhone model with multiple batteries — very likely the long-rumored foldable "iPhone Ultra."

The newly added code mentions "batteries" plural, despite the fact that all existing iPhone models are equipped with a single battery.
For example, here is one of the lines of code added in the fourth iOS 27 developer beta: "The health of the batteries in this iPhone has significantly degraded, and one of the batteries could not be verified as a genuine Apple battery. An Apple Authorized Service Provider can replace the batteries to restore full performance and capacity."
This wording would appear within the Settings app on iPhones with more than one battery.
Apple's foldable iPhone is rumored to have two battery cells with rated capacities of 1,921mAh and 2,962mAh (4,883 mAh combined), so it is very likely that the new iOS 27 beta code is preparing for the device's arrival in September.
