First Apple TV 4K Pre-Order Discount Arrives at Amazon

Following in the footsteps of a small pre-order discount on the HomeView, Amazon is now offering the first cash discount on the brand new A19 Apple TV 4K. You can get this model for $289.99, down from $299.00.

This is a pre-order discount on the new Apple TV 4K, and Amazon provides an estimated delivery on launch day, which is November 13. Although only a $9 discount, this is now the best price we've tracked on the device, and as of writing Amazon is the only place offering any sort of markdown.

For anyone who just wants to upgrade their existing Apple TV 4K with the new Find My-enabled Siri Remote, Amazon has that accessory for pre-order at $59.00. There's no discount on the Siri Remote, but if you purchase this without spending on an entirely new Apple TV 4K, you'll definitely be saving yourself some money.

If you're looking to save on the HomeView, Amazon has the home hub device for $289.99 as well, down from $299.00. This one is available in Space Gray and Rose Pink colors, and it's also set to launch on November 13.

Like I said, new prices seem to be set up exactly to where Amazon and Best Buy can discount them.
Guarantee you the Apple TV is $229 or even $199 by Black Friday, or if not early next year.
And the HomePod mini $99.

I agree with Gruber’s take ('https://daringfireball.net/2026/10/thoughts_on_new_apple_tv_4k_and_homepod_mini_2') on the price. I’m very much all in on Apple TV as a better experience, but at $300 I’m definitely gonna be nursing my 3rd gen 4K one for as long as it continues to function.

The elephant in the room, though, is price. Before this week, Apple sold two models of the 3rd-generation Apple TV. On a percentage basis, they were hit the hardest of any products Apple sells by the company’s across-the-board price increases this summer ('https://daringfireball.net/2026/06/spensive_thoughts'):

The new Apple TV 4K announced this week only comes in one model, and it costs $300. It’s great that there’s only one model for simplicity’s sake, but the number one complaint when the previous generation cost $130/150 was that it was too expensive compared to set-top boxes and sticks from Amazon and Roku. (Or the “free” option of using the “smart TV” software that comes with every TV set.) Now, with the new Apple TV, it’s twice as expensive — and Apple is not keeping the 3rd-gen models around as lower-priced options. I still think it’s worth it, personally, but the general consumer market thought the old prices were too high and I don’t see any of the new features making Joe or Jane Consumer think “Sure, I was skeptical about the old one at $130, but this new model, which looks exactly the same, this seems worth $300.”
