Samsung has kicked off a new discount event, which it's calling "Samsung Week," with big discounts across multiple product categories, including its most popular monitors and TVs.

The Frames are terrible TVs. Even the Frame Pro. Great for Artwork. But the TV side is not worth the cash at all. Better off with an OLED - even a cheap one.

I was a long time Apple guy, but over the last couple of years I've owned the Z Fold 6, 7, and now 8. I couldn't wait for Apple release their foldable, and I'm glad I tried out the Samsungs. You can do so much more with these devices than with iOS/ipados!

Ditto. I left iOS when the Fold 4 was released and graduated to the Fold 5, 6, and now TriFold. Each successive foldable easily became my favorite phone of all time. I wholeheartedly support Apple entering the foldable space (finally!), but am not in a rush to get the Duo. There are still some limitations with iOS that I can't get beyond, namely limited multi-window support and neutered file management.

The Duo is a step in the right direction. Without the Duo, there's no way I would go back to an iPhone. With the Duo, at least there's a future chance of returning to Apple.

I don't understand why this site keeps pushing Samsung out of all companies. The Frame looks cool, sure, but what's the overlap between Apple fans and people who want advertisements in their UI? I doubt people somehow wire them up to an Apple TV?

I have a Frame TV and the only time I see the Samsung UI is when I’m picking artwork to put on the screen. The rest of the time, everything is just the Apple TV UI :)

And yes, I “somehow” managed to plug in the HDMI from my Apple TV.

Turns out the Frame TV runs exactly one very thin wire from the TV down to a box which handles all the HDMI and other connections. It’s actually a lot easier to plug in an Apple TV or other device(s) than it is with a lot of TVs, where every single HDMI connection has to reach the TV itself.

Hard pass on Samsung's datamining/spying TV's. If they would make simple, dumb monitors with the proper calibration and processing, I might reconsider. Even their large presentation monitors are horrible to look at.

On the TVs, do what I and many people do and don’t even plug em into a LAN. That way I get a decent screen for the Apple TV at a price subsidised by the fools feeding there TVs their data.
