PowerMate USB Controller

by

A curious device - with a cult following... the Griffin PowerMate USB Controller is an aluminum USB knob/wheel that sits on your desk -- drawing the oohs and aahs of your friends.

The knob can be programmed to control various aspects of Mac OS X applications. Mangoman writes:

You're only limited by the number of ways you can click + turn the knob. So, within any given app', you've got 6 options to program commands. I don't see myself using up all 6 within an app', but, for example, I programmed Safari to scroll up and down, and when I click the knob, it creates a new email window. Cool, I sez to myself. I'm thinking that there's a boatload of ways to use this in other apps, if only for the simple stuff. Glad I bought it.

Cost: $44.88
