Warning: T-Mobile screws up all the time on these trade-in deals. Be prepared to do everything right and then have to constantly call them for several months to fix the mistakes their craptacular CSRs make. I've had to do that for two upgrade cycles in a row and I will never do it again. I don't care if John Legere promises to hand-deliver the phone himself in a pink tutu. I am not putting up with their crap again.

You're stuck with them for two years. If you leave, you owe the remaining balance left on the phone.

The required plan is what's gunna nail you. Free phone, expensive plan. Locked in for 2 years.

So it's like it used to be. They used to call these "contracts"

And I thought T-Mobile was the UN-Carrier?

Seriously... remember when they said that? They took a stand and said "NO MORE CONTRACTS"

It was glorious. They had big press conferences for it. Made a big deal out of it. Got lots of attention. Made fun of other carriers who still offered contracts.

Are we supposed to forget this?
