Apple Releases Safari Technology Preview 30 With Bug Fixes and Feature Improvements

Seriously. I feel like we've had three of these periodical improvements in the month, and this app is forever stuck in beta.

The only appealing thing to me about all this is that purple Safari icon. :confused:

It's not stuck in beta, it is a beta. That's the point.

Still only gets a 419 score for HTML5 vs. the 518 that the current Chrome release scores.

I uninstalled Chrome last time my MacBook Air was slowed to a crawl and Activity Monitor showed me some runaway Chrome process was murdering my CPU even though Chrome wasn't running. Maybe it was doing one if its shady self-updates or something -- whatever the case, I uninstalled it immediately.

When will the features finally make their way into Safari?

They are periodically released in the normal Safari updates. For example Safari 10.1 includes a lot of the features that were in the technology preview.

You definitely have something wrong. it should open quickly. Telling US your specs doesn't say anything useful. In fact, it shows that you don't understand matters.

There's something corrupted in the system. Unfortunately, if you update the OS, that corruption will follow along. The only solution is a complete uninstall of safari and all of its files. Save your bookmarks. Good luck with that.

Don't get your point. Apple has its Safari previews and Google has its chrome canary builds. Potato potato to me

Speak for your self, but I am happy that I can use a Apple browser and don't have to use anything from google unless I want to. You don't have to use it, but please leave a choice to other users. The current Safari version is just fine.

A problem with Google is that, all too often, they release software without saying that it is beta, and it remains beta for the foreseeable future, until they discontinue it, which they do at a very high rate.
