Other that playing to the rampant electrical ignorance of the general public is there some reason they (all of "them") don't just say "10Ah"?
I think they're just trying to clear stock before they announce their new 10 MILLION μAh models

I don't think it's ignorance or marketing so much as that they've numbered them that way historically, going back to, e.g., "3,200 mAh" units. When you have "3,350", "6,700", etc. in your lineup, then saying, "10 Ah" is less immediately comparable to the smaller models than saying "10,000 mAh".

And the underlying cells are mostly 3,350 mAh 18650 Li-ion cells, and they're universally labeled that way, not as "3.35 Ah". So, the numbering scheme carries over to these battery packs. It's not just marketing.

(More recently, we're seeing some with 21700 Li-ion cells and some flat batteries as well - oh, and if anyone's unaware, the 5-digit numbers give the diameter in millimeters as the first two digits, and the length in tenths of millimeters as the last three digits, so 18650 is 18mm diameter x 65.0 mm long.)

(Teslas and other electric cars are mostly stuffed full of 18650's or 21700's, they're just inside other boxes that group them together. And there are some fabulous flashlights that run on a single 18650, which was my first introduction to such batteries.)

Came in pretty handy last week when we had severe storms and lost power for 20 hours...

USB-PD powerbank kept my laptop going for the full workday, and another powerbank kept my cellphone going and serving as a hotspot.
