Peloton Introduces Apple TV App With Access to Thousands of Workouts

Peloton today introduced an Apple TV app, providing easy access to its full library of live and on-demand workout videos on the big screen. There are thousands of workouts related to cycling, running, walking, strength training, yoga, stretching, and more.

Peloton bikes already feature a built-in touchscreen for accessing workout videos, but the Apple TV app allows the videos to be watched on a larger TV without AirPlay. Some workouts are designed with the Peloton bike or treadmill in mind, but other exercises can be done on the floor with a mat, such as yoga, stretching, and meditation.

Peloton bike owners were notified of the new Apple TV app today, including 9to5Mac's Zac Hall. The app is free to download, but requires a Peloton membership.

There are also tens of thousands upon tens of thousands of bad ones. I'm happy for to pay someone to aggregate them for me. I tried the free route. I've thoroughly enjoyed having a Peloton subscription.
Ditto, Peloton nailed it from every perspective - hardware, software , instructors, quality and direction of the classes. You literally feel like you are in a spin class with 50 people. Worth every penny.

I caught this pop up notification on my Peloton bike this morning when I started my workout. Much easier to use a native AppleTV app then airplay the app from a phone or ipad. I won't use it much but my GF does the stretching and Yoga stuff.

So for those asking how it works. If you own a bike, you have to take out a bike subscription for $39.99 a month which give you access to both pre-recorded workout and scheduled live workouts. This is called a Bike Membership or Tread Membership if you have the Peloton Treadmill. If you have a bike or a treadmill, you have to subscribe to the $39.99 a month plans for it to work.

No Bike or Treadmill - The Digital Membership is $12.99 a month and does not offer any live classes.

This is fantastic. Now I just wish I could use my Apple Watch as my heart rate monitor connected to the bike!
