Quibi is described as a "mobile-first" video platform offering "movie quality" original shows. Programming on Quibi is framed to fit the landscape and portrait modes of phone screens, and come in episodes of 10 minutes or less to cater for on-the-go lifestyles.

The service introduced support for Apple's ‌AirPlaylast month, and said Chromecast support would follow in June. Streaming from Quibi over either protocol plays content on a smart TV in horizontal format for better use of screen space.

Quibi for ‌iPhone‌ is available to download from the App Store [Direct Link] with a free 14-day trial.

Quibi has all the earmarks of an investment scam along the lines of "Springtime for Hitler" in the classic film "The Producers".

Green arrow in attached image - "We're going bankrupt and have spent a fortune trying to market this thing, I'm sure by this time we'll have organic growth so let's stop our marketing spend"

Red arrow in attached image - "Oh no! We've literally fallen off the chart! Quick, start spending on marketing again, we still have some stupid investor money we can burn through!"

10 minute episodes, with intro and credits, + sponsored by, this leaves very little space for actual content, but I might just be old end grumpy

As a fan of the recent "golden era" of serialized TV that includes Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, The Wire, The Office, and many others, I'd like to see more shows like this. I am not interested in bite-size TV. It's a bs buzzword, along with "snackable" and "vertical video."

Quibi has confused social media with television - not the same thing.
