The 47th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards were unveiled on Sunday night at a virtual ceremony, honoring Children's, Lifestyle, and Animation programming. Winning shows accepted their awards remotely.

"Ghostwriter" and "Peanuts in Space: Secrets of Apollo 10" won Daytime Emmys for "Outstanding Children's or Family Viewing Program" and "Outstanding Single Camera Editing" respectively. While Apple was nominated for 17 awards overall, eight were for "Ghostwriter" alone.

"Ghostwriter" ‌is a remake of the original 1990s PBS series. It follows the story of a group of kids who discover a ghost in a neighborhood bookstore, as they go on to solve fiction-related mysteries. "Peanuts in Space: Secrets of Apollo 10" celebrates the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, as it takes an affectionate, lighthearted look at NASA and Charles M. Schulz's beloved Peanuts characters.

Amazon Prime Video, HBO, and Netflix won six Emmys each, but Disney won the most of any network with a total of nine. Apple's first Emmy was awarded in the Primetime category for "Carpool Karaoke" in 2018.

The fact that carpool karaoke won a primetime Emmy has pretty much made me lose faith in what they award at all, and that has NOTHING to do with it being an Apple program BTW, and more with what low standards there are for Emmy nominations now. it's not just the Emmy's I have lost faith in when it comes to media awards either...

Where did I say I have an issue with it, or my subjective beliefs should be shared by everyone? In my post I only use "me or I" A lot of people, including family and friends don't agree with some of my beliefs but I don't think anything less or different about them since after all, they are just MY personal beliefs.

I would tend to maybe agree with your response until you added in "MOST people" and made me realize you are probably one of the people who go with "If I like it, everyone else should and those who don't are just wrong, stupid or ignorant.

Or maybe the he’s right.
apparently we aren't "most other people".

I had a feeling Apple "studios" would turn out to be a good move for Apple, but it's still a little strange to read about Apple winning an Emmy award. Congratulations Apple.

The first of many. I hope The Morning Show takes some primetime Emmys.

Ghostwriter was an INCREDIBLE show for kids. I grew up watching the original on PBS and thought it was a solid modern take. My family enjoyed it.
