Have an Amazon Fire HD 10+ on order for about $160. I'm finished trying to maintain my personal audio and video collection/files in Apple's ecosystem. Now it will just be drag/drop/synch the stuff I want to a micro-SD card organized the way I want (folders and stuff), pop the card into the tablet and stop pulling my hair out. I'll still use my iPad for the apps it has and mail and stuff, but probably won't be buying another one. It's just gotten too convoluted with 'things not purchased from Apple' being treated like crap.

Though you can't argue with the price, my iPad 4 easily reads my thumb drives. I also, by NOT using the cloud, tailor my music library to my admittedly bizarre collection of favorites.
NOT trying to sell you on Apple - to each their own - but iPadOS is not as "locked" into Apple's ecosystem as you might think.

Cheers, and I hope you enjoy your Fire HD 10+ :)
I just have the 10.5" pro, and an old mini, old Air 2, etc. :) I've tried to work with Files, but it's just not Finder-ish enough. The Files syncing needs to be smarter too. I'll try this Fire and see how it works out. A guy at work seems to be able to do with his how I dream it should be. :) If not at least I'll get to see what these tablets are all about. Thanks!
