Picking up my 13 Mini today and looking forward to the extra hour or so each day. I've loved the 12 Mini, and MOST days the battery is fine and I make it until bed without even thinking about charging. But I also don't watch many videos on my phone or do much streaming or video recording. There have been a few heavier days where I needed to top off in the evening, but 10 minutes on a fast charger takes care of that.

I get that the Mini is niche - it's small and the screen is not ideal for heavy consumption. But it's also caused me to change my habits a bit and look at my phone a little less. It's been perfect for me and I hope the improvements in the 13 Mini will encourage Apple to keep this form factor beyond just this year (though it's not looking good!).

Almost the exact same as the 11 pro. Why did they lower it for the 12 in the first place? Just to add it back and be able to advertise “better” battery, when it’s in fact just “back to normal” after a year of bad?

If I was a cynic I might suggest they reduced battery size in the 12 series vs the 11 series, so they could advertise big battery gains in the 13 series... if I was a cynic.
