The new M2iPad Pro supports a new feature with the second-generation Apple Pencil that allows users to hover their Apple Pencil over their display to expand content, apps, widgets, and more.
Explaining the feature on the iPad Pro's features page, Apple says:

The new M2 iPad Pro paired with the second-generation Apple Pencil can detect electromagnetic signals transmitted by the tip of the pencil from up to 12mm away from the display. "M2 instantly interprets those signals and determines the position of Apple Pencil in three dimensions," according to Apple. The new M2 iPad Pro is otherwise a minor upgrade, featuring just the new M2 Apple silicon chip and improved Wi-Fi.
iOS 26.4 was released today, and it includes a couple of new features for CarPlay: an Ambient Music widget and support for voice-based chatbot apps.
To update your iPhone 11 or newer to iOS 26.4, open the Settings app and tap on General → Software Update. CarPlay will automatically offer the new features so long as the iPhone connected to your vehicle is running iOS 26.4 or later....

Apple today released new firmware for the AirPods Pro 2, AirPods Pro 3, and the AirPods 4. The firmware has a version number of 8B39, up from 8B34 on the AirPods Pro 3, 8B28 on the AirPods Pro 2, and 8B21 on the AirPods 4.

Surprising how many things the first Microsoft Surface got right. Hovering pen, kickstand, detachable keyboard with trackpad, camera on top when in landscape. At the time the iPad required a keyboard dock in portrait orientation and had no pencil support.
