I got these recently after returnring my Airpods Pro after 2 weeks due to them not fitting in my ears and causing a great deal of pain.

I actually think the Airpods 3 are better sounding than the Pros. Not a fan of the way noice cancelling feels/sounds. I recommend these. They are way more comfortable, at least for me. I don't know why they aren't as popular yet.
I think they aren’t a significant enough upgrade vs. AirPods 2, especially when those are regularly on sale for $89-$99. Also, for me at least, AirPods 2 are more comfortable. If AirPods 4 get volume controls, I might be convinced to upgrade. Unfortunately, the Pros hurt my ears.

Still on Gen 2 myself and not sure if 3's will fit as well. (Hopefully mine will last awhile longer.) I'm also not a fan of inner-ear designs, so the Pros are a no go!

Hopefully by the time I'm ready to replace mine, the 3's will be at a sweet price point.
