Amazon Takes $300 Off Multiple Apple Studio Display Models, Available From $1,299.99

Amazon today is matching an all-time low price on the Studio Display, now available for $1,299.99, down from $1,599.99. This is the standard glass version of the Studio Display with the tilt adjustable stand, and it currently has an estimated February 23 delivery date for Prime shipping.

The Studio Display features a 27-inch 5K retina display with a 5120 x 2880 resolution and up to 600 nits of brightness. Discounts on the Studio Display have been very rare over the past few months, and this is only the second time in 2024 that we've tracked a record low price on any version of the monitor.

If you want to upgrade to the nano-texture glass option, Amazon also has this model of the Studio Display on sale. It's available for $1,599.99, down from $1,899.99, which is a second-best price on the Studio Display with nano-texture glass.

Apple says that the standard display is engineered for "extremely low reflectivity," but for rooms where there is a lot of glare, Apple suggests the nano-texture glass option with even less reflectivity.

Still overpriced. No HDR, simple LCD panel. Waiting for the next version myself.

I bought one of these at full retail price on launch. Bought it just to test it and couldn’t give it back. It’s awesome.

While it doesn’t necessarily compete on paper specs, it offers a mixed bag of intangible benefits over other non-Apple displays if you use a Mac.

Fully integrated brightness and volume controls, decent speakers with Spatial Audio, excellent power management (it won’t turn on or off in the middle of the night [Dell, I’m pointing at you] and it always lights up when my Mac wakes), and a webcam good enough for zoom that ALWAYS works.

It’s just a joy to use. People complain about no HDR, but at 600nits it’s really bright and more HDR than 300-500nit displays which claim HDR. Im not a graphics pro, but the colors look good to my eyes. I can only measure it subjectively vs my M1 Pros display, but it looks right.

At this price I might pick up a second one.

It's a 5K panel, how cheap is the cheapest 5K panel?

And how is the color accuracy on that panel?

I am not being snarky, I am honestly asking.

And yes, 5K is noticeably better than 4K.

Samsung's 5K monitor is half the price on sale. Dell's 6K monitor is half the price of Apple's 6K monitor.
Anyway I get what you're saying but for me personally anything other than oled is a no go. I got a 32" 4K monitor I bought for 300$ and I'm fine for now. If I upgrade to something it has to be 2x better.
