If I am Apple I am discontinuing the 8GB models across iMac, Mini, and MacBook Air’s and entry level MacBook Pro and throwing a clearance tag on the 8GB models.

Nope. Still not replacing the 13" M1 MacBook Airs with 16GB/512GB I got for $800 each (refurbs) back in 2021. The battery on mine is at 93% capacity. I only charge to 80% with AlDente. Performance is spectacular. It still amazes me at how cool these run compared to the Intel models. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
