When The Carter Center began leading the international campaign to eradicate Guinea worm disease in 1986, there were an estimated 3.5 million cases in at least 21 countries in Africa and Asia. Today, that number has been reduced by more than 99.99%. In 2024 so far there have been 7 cases.

The people we have in charge today are so much weaker than Carter was, yet some of them still have the audacity to say bad things about him.

One of the very best US Presidents. And a very selfless and kind man who has helped many people less fortunate.

He was the first president that I remember from my childhood. He always struck me as a kind and decent person, a true servant leader. The world is poorer without him in it.

A completely horrible President
No, he wasn't a great politician, but was a better person that every president after him, combined.

I'll personally take a better, honest and more polite person over anything else.

He's history's greatest monster!

Just kidding! RIP Jimmy Carter...heralding back to a day when politicians were more polite and spoke with respect instead making fun, insults and punching down. He was an amazing person!
