Apple Makes It Easy to Donate to Red Cross's LA Wildfire Relief Efforts

If only the elite and companies would donate half as much money to a good cause as they do for lobbying ...

I’m sure the Red Cross does great things. But if you really want to make an immediate impact, and you live near the area, find an organization where you can donate food and water and clothing to. Try to get physical basic commodities to people as quickly as possible. Of course if that’s not an option, donate money if you want.

Perhaps the "richest state in the country" should immediately stop all our tax dollars from flowing like a river to the rest of the country until these communities have been rebuilt and everyone has been made whole. Then we'll see who's a "pauper." /s

See how ridiculous it sounds when you drill down even a tiny bit into your statement? It's a massive tragedy, and it will end up being one of the costliest in history once it's all said and done. People need help, but on the internet some want to laugh at the victims. Read the room.

This is a myth. If you’re referring to the line “this donation may not qualify for any tax deduction or other tax benefits”, they say that because you only get a tax deduction if the donation is $250 or more. If it’s below that, you don’t get a deduction. This goes for any charity, not just donations through Apple.

Apple has added an American Red Cross donation flow to the App Store and Apple Music apps.
