Amazon Discounts M4 MacBook Air to New Low Prices, Plus Switch 2 Pre-Orders Coming Tonight

Amazon today introduced a few new all-time low prices across Apple's M4 MacBook Air lineup, offering up to $112 off select models of the computer. Additionally, anyone who's preparing to stay up tonight to pre-order the Nintendo Switch 2 can find more information in our dedicated section on the console below.

Starting with the 13-inch models, Amazon has up to $102 off all three of the new configurations of this notebook. Prices start at $912.00 for the 256GB model, then raise to $1,097.00 for the 16GB/512GB model and $1,307.00 for the 24GB/512GB model.

Nintendo Switch 2 Pre-Orders

Nintendo's newest console, the Nintendo Switch 2, is going up for online pre-orders in the United States at 12 a.m. Eastern Time on April 24 at select retailers. If you plan to stay up for pre-orders, we've got all the information you need to purchase the new console shared below.

All of the usual U.S.-based retailers will have the console available for pre-order tonight, including Walmart, Target, and Best Buy. You can also head to Nintendo's website and enter your email to register for a chance to purchase the console. Customers aren't expected to get responses from Nintendo until early May, so if you want to guarantee yourself a Switch 2, your best bet will still be shopping at a retailer below as soon as possible.

What happened to tariffs were the reason the pre-orders were delayed? I guess that wasn’t true. I’m shocked!
Pre-orders were initially scheduled for April 9. They will now be on April 24. That's a 2 week and 1 day delay because of the tariffs. Nintendo used that time to assess pricing.

While there will be no change in pricing for the Switch 2 itself, accessories for it will see a small increase ('https://www.nintendo.com/us/whatsnew/nintendo-maintains-nintendo-switch-2-pricing-retail-pre-orders-to-begin-april-24-in-u-s/'). For example, the Switch 2 Dock Set will be $10 more than before, and many accessories will see a $5 increase (e.g. Switch 2 Camera; Switch 2 Pro Controller; Joy-Con 2 Pair; Joy-Con 2 Charging Grip).

Nintendo’s website is only allowing people to pre-order if they’ve been subscribed to Nintendo Switch online for 12 months prior to April 2nd. This is to cut down on scalpers ordering from their own website.

The switch 2 does not have any requirement for online service.
They should produce enough so no one would bother having to buy through a scalper in the first place. I don’t quite understand their logic.

Can you elaborate on this? We have the Switch and I don't think we have any required online service plan.

Why would they limit taking orders? Wouldn't it be better to take all the orders and have an estimated delivery date (like Apple)?
Nintendo wants true fans to get the Switch 2, not scalpers. The 12 months of paid online service requirement sucks though. That’s kept me from signing up with them.
