S24 Ultra: $1300 ... trade in: $405

LOL!
That is on par with their iPhone trade in value ?. In all seriousness though, trade-in is for convenience and not value at the end of the day, and they are profiting behind the scenes or would never do it.

Good to know, but as usual maybe better to sell the old device somewhere else to get maximum cash for the old one. Trade in values at Apple continue to be poor.

So have you switched to Android yet or are you posting from experience because you don’t use an iPhone?
My colleague has a pixel 9 and I’ve seen things that an iPhone user can’t even imagine.
I’ve been a very long term Apple user, since 2005, very invested in the ecosystem. Seriously considering a total switch because the whole thing turned into a joke.
Last night my partner told the HomePod to add coconut water to the shipping list, first Siri asked who is speaking, then replied with the sound it does when it executes a command, which was weird because usually it would say “okay, XX, I added coconut water to the shopping list “. After a few minutes we heard the kettle in the kitchen boiling.
It’s beyond any reason what’s going on at Apple. And this sounds so absurd that I don’t even pretend anyone reading to believe it.
