Apple offers a wide selection of options when it comes to the MacBook line. As of 2026, this includes the 13-inch and 15-inch M4 MacBook Air, 14-inch M5 MacBook Pro, 14-inch and 16-inch M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro, and MacBook Neo. As a general rule of thumb, this guide is mainly focused on the older MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models, although we have included a few early deals on the newest versions.
MacBook Pro is the company's top-of-the-line laptop computer, available in a 14-inch or 16-inch display. This choice will most directly factor into how much you pay for the notebook, with 16-inch options typically starting at and exceeding the $2,500 price point, and 14-inch options coming in below that.
Apple updated the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips in March 2026, both featuring an 18-core CPU, which is up from the 14-core and 16-core designs of the M4 Pro and M4 Max, respectively. Other upgrades include Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 support with the N1 chip, an increase to base storage, and more.
The MacBook Air is Apple's alternative to the MacBook Pro, providing ultra portability and cheaper costs at some cuts to performance. Apple updated this laptop in March 2026, now featuring the M5 chip, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 support, and improved performance.
Finally, Apple introduced the ultra-cheap MacBook Neo in March 2026. This is now Apple's lowest-cost MacBook model, featuring the A18 Pro chip which debuted in the iPhone 16 Pro in 2024.
In June 2026, Apple announced a wave of price hikes across the MacBook lineup, so shoppers should note that all of the prices below reflect these new increases on each model.
In this guide, you'll find the best currently available prices for the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air at major Apple resellers including Adorama, Amazon, B&H Photo, and Best Buy.
