Apple launched the original Apple TV 4K in September 2017, and as of October 2026 we have a brand-new fourth-generation model of the Apple TV 4K. With its tvOS App Store, Apple TV 4K allows you to download video apps including Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, and HBO Max, which funnel into the centralized TV app to organize every show and movie that you watch.
Apple announced an update for the Apple TV 4K in October 2026, with a design that mostly looks the same as the previous generation but a faster A19 chip, Siri AI support, an updated Siri Remote that has Find My support with Precision Finding, built in far-field microphones, support for surround sound with four HomePods in front and rear pairs, and more.
In the U.S., pricing is set at $299, with only a single configuration available now with 128GB of storage, Wi-Fi 7 support, and a Gigabit Ethernet port. The device is also equipped with a rear HDMI 2.1 port and supports Bluetooth 6.
The older models of the Apple TV have been discounted by as much as $70 in past sales at major Apple resellers like Adorama, Amazon, B&H Photo, Best Buy, and MacMall (which is now integrated with TigerDirect). In this guide we'll be tracking the lowest prices for Apple TV 4K models - as well as the non-4K Apple TV HD - from these retailers and others.
Apple TV 4K (2026)
The new Apple TV 4K is up for pre-order right now, and will launch on November 13. Amazon currently has a small $9 discount on pre-orders for the device.
Apple TV 4K (2022)
Discounts on the third-generation Apple TV 4K have been extremely rare all year, and now with Apple's price hikes we aren't seeing any big discounts this month.
