MacRumors Reaches One Million Forum Threads

Today MacRumors reached its one millionth forum thread. The MacRumors forums averaged just under 1000 threads per day during July, with a peak of over 2000 threads on July 27, when Apple released new iMacs and Mac Pros as well as the 27-Inch LED Cinema Display, the Magic Trackpad, and an Apple-branded battery charger.

There are now over 485 thousand forum users. At current registration rates there will be half a million forum members in less than a month.

An average of over 12 thousand forum posts were made each day in July. The total is now approaching 11 million posts, after having reached 10 million posts in May.

MacRumors thanks all those who have made positive contributions to the forums with their thoughtful posts in discussions of news and rumors and their helpful posts in threads with technical questions. The body of information represented by the forums is a valuable resource for problem solving, not just for forum members but for the millions of site visitors who view the forums each month.
