At least the iPhone 6s has 3D Touch. I’m missing it on my iPhone 11 Pro Max—Haptic Touch just isn’t the same 😢

the thing that really tees me off about apple ... is they have your serial number and your contact information for most devices they sell .... yet they don't proactively notify your of potential issues/problems ... i've never received 1 call, 1 email, 1 text message about potential defects in any of my iApple devices ...

Lol. 4 years too late ... basically when they know there are less people to take advantage of the recall. Ugh. How Apple handed this issue and continues to handle it really does upset me. And yes it was because my phone was affected and I don’t feel like they’ve addressed this properly. Cover up this, cover up that. Meh.

You need to recheck your math.

This only applies to devices made between Oct 2018 to Aug 2019. So it’s literally impossible for this issue to be present on iPhone 6S models over the last 4 years.

Interesting this affects late production units of iPhone 6s.

Wonder if these are limited to units made in Bengaluru, India.

Sure, if you believe Apple. My phone was definitely manufactured before that time and it qualified for the free battery replacement. It shut off multiple times with 60%, 83%, 56% battery, it didn’t matter and you couldn’t predict it. Then it had to be plugged into a wall or battery pack or it would not ever turn on again. Sounds like these phones suffer from the same issue.

This issue is about iPhones that won’t turn on. It’s not about iPhones that shut off unexpectedly. Apple has also stated it applies to a very specific serial number range. This is typically done (with all companies, not just Apple) when a manufacturer discovers a faulty batch of parts from a supplier or an improperly installed part due to an issue during assembly. Otherwise how could they determine it only affected devices within a certain serial number range?
