Apple's Shopping Event Underway: Up to $150 Gift Card With Select Products

Apple's annual four-day shopping event is now underway in the United States and many other countries, offering customers an Apple Store gift card worth up to $150 with the purchase of qualifying products from Black Friday through Cyber Monday.

As usual, the offer excludes many of Apple's newer products, including Macs with the M1 chip. In the United States, for example, customers can get a $50 gift card with the purchase of an iPhone SE, iPhone 11, iPhone XR, iPad mini, any Apple TV, and select Beats headphones, with all but the iPhone SE having been released prior to this year.

Apple is also offering a $50 gift card with the purchase of 2020 models of the MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro with two Thunderbolt ports, but this applies only to the previous Intel-based models released earlier in the year. The offer for these Macs is also limited to physical Apple Store locations, subject to availability.

The gift card offer applies to purchases made at Apple Store locations, on Apple.com, in the Apple Store app, or by calling 1‑800‑MY‑APPLE.

The gift card values are as follows in the United States:

  • $150 for 16-inch MacBook Pro or 21.5-inch iMac
  • $100 for 12.9-inch iPad Pro, 11-inch iPad Pro, or HomePod
  • $50 for iPhone SE, iPhone 11, iPhone XR, iPad mini, Apple TV 4K, Apple TV HD, and select Beats headphones
  • $50 for remaining inventory of Intel-based MacBook Air or 13-inch MacBook Pro with two Thunderbolt ports, at Apple Stores only, subject to availability
  • $25 for Apple Watch Series 3, AirPods, or AirPods Pro

Apple's terms and conditions provide more details.

Many retailers like Best Buy, Amazon, and Walmart are offering better deals on Apple products, so keep track of our Black Friday roundup.

Well $100 off HomePod would drop it to $199! Wow, I'd take 2 for surround sound but alas I live in The Netherlands... an Apple 3rd World Country... no HomePod, no LTE Apple Watch so no Stainless or Hermes Model, no refurbished/clearance models, no real discounts like the US and BestBuy, etc (which is odd... the Dutch love saving money, yet I tend to pay way more here... and that's even with taking out the 21% VAT).

Normally I wait and buy everything back in the US, but with Covid the holiday trip back home is cancelled...

For everyone in the US Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy your great dinner and amazing discounts!

So can I buy a Mac, use the gift card there and then to offset the price or it can only be used on the second purchase? Ie I pay full price for the Mac?
You get the gift card after the purchase so it would only be able to be used on a second future purchase.

Tacky sale and an insult to Black Friday. This is why I always hold off or buy open box from someone stupid enough to pay retail. Apple doesn’t know the meaning of a sale or how to engage consumers who spend intelligently. Someone put it exactly right: this is “old stock clearance” where they exclude literally every new product and discount everything they’re about to refresh within 60 days. The amount loaded on your gift card is your immediately upcoming depreciation.

Their recent releases are priced very well, but I am going to wait on this too because I know the design refreshes are right around the corner in 6-9 months. It was not like this at all when Steve was around. You could get a revolution in a box, internally and externally, and the upgrades felt like upgrades. All Tim does is breadcrumb and wring people out for the stock value.

The more they try to control my purchasing by staggering releases instead of just unifying the line, the more I smile back at them using a 2014 Mac mini and a paid off iPhone X I got for $500 unlocked during the Xs era.

Can anyone help me, basically considering the HomePod from UK site, £279 and you get an £80 Apple Store Gift Card... now does this £80 have to be used on the Apple store or can it be used for iTunes/Apps etc aswell???

Everyone seems to say the balances are merged but according to the Apple Store Gift Card listing on the Apple Store it says this...

The unified gift cards may be limited to US only right now.

I don’t know mate, I was answering someone from the U.S. saying the exact oposite of you. If you both are Americans, why don’t you answer him instead of me? I’m just saying whats happening here on the other side of the Atlantic, and that’s a lack of stock.

Next time, read all the message and the context.
No need for the aggressive tone.
