1Password is the best $36 I spend each year. Well deserved!

What do you use instead of 1Password?
I use Strongbox, which has most, if not all of the bells and whistles 1Password does. I also use Bitwarden (as a backup).

Thanks. What made you decide on Strongbox rather than 1Password?
1. Got tired of paying a yearly subscription (not that the price was too high). Strongbox has a good free version. I opted for the one time fee for Mac and iOS.
2. I like being able to talk directly to the developer of Strongbox and get a timely reply, versus 1Password, which seems to have struggled with customer support over the last 2 years. I wasn't happy with replies when I got one.
3. I didn't like my data being stored on 1Password servers versus the local hosting option (Apple iCloud storage or another cloud provider) with Strongbox.
4. I didn't like that doing a backup of my 1password vault didn't include everything.
5. I never did like having to log into 1Password on the web in order to change the vault password.
6. I found the Strongbox UI much more fluid and easier to navigate and use than 1Password
7. I like the new Strongbox features that allow you to set an app reminder to do a backup etc.
8. With Strongbox, I can set a PIN code in addition to Face ID for added security.

These are just a few of the reasons
