iOS 26 will be compatible with the iPhone 11 and newer, according to a private account on X with a proven track record of sharing iOS-related information.

If this rumor proves to be accurate, iOS 18 will be the final version that supports the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR. However, the devices will continue to receive security updates for the foreseeable future, even after iOS 26 is released.

iOS 26 would be compatible with the following iPhone models, per this rumor:

iPhone 16 Plus
iPhone 16 Pro
iPhone 16 Pro Max

Of course, iOS 26 will also be compatible with all future iPhone 17 models.

As usual, some features will be unavailable on older iPhone models. For example, Apple Intelligence requires an iPhone 15 Pro or newer.

Last year, the same account accurately leaked iOS 18 compatibility details, so there is a good chance that their latest information is true.

RIP, MacBook Ultra

Monday October 19, 2026 9:37 am PDT by Joe Rossignol

Apple today sent out invites for an experience in Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 28, and the "Pro and tell" tagline on the invitation likely means that the rumored MacBook models with touch-enabled OLED displays will stick with MacBook Pro branding instead of the once-rumored "MacBook Ultra" name. The long-rumored "iPhone Ultra" ended up being named iPhone Duo, so speculation that Apple...

13 mini, in the ~middle - will be fine a few more years. Not too slow for me either.
See what flip's Apple will come with.

Yeah, I'm thinking a mid-cycle battery replacement is in the stars though.

I wish they'd just make an iPhone Mini 17 though. I have no desire for a phablet in my pocket.

Seems a bit strange to me. If they can support the iPhone 11 then the iPhone XS shouldn't be much of a problem. Perhaps they just don't want to spend time integrating 3D Touch.
