So this guy can announce his own guesses, presumably be paid for it, then months later retract it, and get paid again!

Very cushy!

So disappointing to see Apple embrace the touchscreen laptop. Kind of feels like Apple is just trying random things to see what sticks, with no real thought as to what makes a good product.

A useful product would be an iPad that runs iPadOS when alone and macOS when docked. But no, that is not where Apple is going to go.

I have a lot of trouble believing the m5 studio has been delayed. We need an update now. This is a big letdown if true.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has repeatedly stated that 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with a touch screen are slated to launch in late 2026 to early 2027. In his Power On newsletter today ('https://www.bloomberg.com/news/newsletters/2026-04-19/apple-ios-27-siri-interface-ios-27-details-mac-studio-touch-macbook-release-mo5u23o7'), though, he said to be prepared for the laptops to potentially arrive towards the end of that timeframe due to the chip shortage.

In other words, early 2027 is now more likely than late 2026.

Gurman previously expected a new Mac Studio to launch around the middle of 2026, which pointed towards an announcement around WWDC 2026 in June. However, in his newsletter today, he wrote that sources within Apple believe that the next Mac Studio models will not ship until around October this year as a result of the shortage.

Touch-screen support will be part of a major refresh planned for the high-end MacBook Pro models, with other rumored features including M6 Pro and M6 Max chips, an OLED display, a Dynamic Island, and a thinner design. The laptops might have MacBook Ultra branding ('https://www.geekwebguides.com/2026/03/08/apple-planning-macbook-ultra/'), and macOS 27 will offer a touch-friendly interface ('https://www.geekwebguides.com/2026/02/24/touchscreen-macbook-pro-dynamic-island/').

For the Mac Studio, the key change will be M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips. No major design changes are expected for the desktop computer.

Noooo. This is beyond ridiculous. There are many retailers along with Apple who have no stock. In Apples case they've stopped taking orders on the current models.
I do not believe they have zero M5 Mac Studio stock.
Hopefully Gurman and his whisperers are wrong on this.

A MacBook Pro is dumb. I can not think of anything worse than finger prints all over the screen. If you want touch, there are plenty of ipad options. Just my humble opinion.
