Amazon Offers First Major Post-Hike Discount on 512GB MacBook Neo [Updated]

Wednesday July 8, 2026 7:53 am PDT by Mitchel Broussard

Amazon today has knocked the price of the 512GB MacBook Neo down to $689.99, from $799.00. This sale is only available in the Indigo color option, and it makes the 512GB model cheaper than the current price of the 256GB model on Amazon.

This marks the first notable discount on the MacBook Neo since Apple's price hikes in June. Amazon provides a mid-to-late July delivery estimate for the Indigo 512GB model, and we don't know how long this sale will last, so be sure to take advantage while it's live.

So $10 off original retail price, and $90 more than the original education pricing.

At that point, you’re better off checking Costco and seeing what deals you can get on clearance machines. Some locations have an M4 512gb MBA for $899.97. Item number 1874482.

Still not a bad deal when you look at comparable Windows products. My granddaughter needs a PC laptop and I am dismayed at the lack of quality until you go into the high end market.

This reduction makes it slightly lower than original price. Good to see this when price of all MacBooks are now higher.

I'll just say it, screw AI. I wanted to pick up a base Neo, but then with the price hikes it's just not worth it. I also wanted to upgrade my gracefully aging 1st gen mac studio from 2022, but those are now in crazy expensive territory.
